Solar energy is the Earth’s most available source of energy, easily capable of providing many times over the Earth’s total current energy demands. The Sun’s power is about 386 billion billion megaWatts. Almost all the energy on Earth comes from the Sun. What would the Earth be without the Sun? The answer is ice with no life to speak of. Plants grow because they get energy from the Sun and even fossil fuels are just energy stored from the Sun over millions of years that is released when burned.
